Trade course
A course offered by a Vocational Education and Training provider which covers the off-the-job training for an apprenticeship.
Traineeship
A system of vocational training combining off-the-job and on-the-job training, as well as practical work experience. Traineeships generally take one to two years and are now a part of the New Apprenticeships system.
Training package
National standards, guidelines and qualifications for training, which assesses and recognises people's skills as needed by an industry or group of industries.
Toolbox
Toolbox (also known as Flexible Learning Toolbox) is a compilation of digital resources, suggested learning strategies and supporting material, based on a Training Package. Toolboxes are for online delivery of Vocational Education and Training, produced through the Australian Flexible Learning Framework Toolbox project.
