Help with flipcharts

A flipchart (.flp) is the document type used in Activstudio and Activprimary in the same way a Word document (.doc) is used in Microsoft Office. It is designed to be used with an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB). A flipchart can contain:

• rich text
• images and graphics
• video and audio clips

Activstudio software can be used to capture text, drawings, screen shots, images, video and audio into a flipchart. Other types of content such as PowerPoint files can be imported into a flipchart.

You will need to download the desired flipchart file to your computer before you can use it. You should save it to your default location or to a location of your choice. You can open a flipchart by:

1. Browsing to locate the recently downloaded files location, and double-click the file.
2. Launching Activstudio and using the Open From command on the Activstudio dashboard (or from the Toolbar).

WARNING: Flipcharts do not need to be unzipped. If you find the flipchart file has been unintentionally converted into a folder of files and pictures you will need to download another copy.
